Takamichi has entertained the idea of his own brand for over a decade; it wasn’t until a friend and luxury optician Selima Salaun of Selima Optique, tipped him off to Solimé in Italy’s Emilia-Romagna region that things clicked into place. Long before the boom of organic personal care, the family-run business was quietly developing products featuring wildcrafted extracts.

The Solimé’s farm in Italy. The family-run business prioritized the environment and doing things the right way from the start. They grow part of the plants they use to make a variety of dietary supplements and personal care.

Solimé’s laboratory. Takamichi’s line contains highly active and sustainable ingredients like sage extract, camellia oil, and organ oil. The wildcrafted extracts are created by ultrasound extraction – which yields purer and more potent benefits than steam distillation. Roberto, the founder of Solimé, is a chemist and herbalist.

Sage has anti-inflammatory, purifying, and calming properties. It also inhibits the overproduction of sebum and thus complements camellia oil beautifully. Together, these two ingredients leave all types of hair and scalp healthy and balanced.
