A molten, fire-spirited Dogabi with a glaze that looks pulled straight from volcanic rock. Essential Oil Burner No. 40 is hand-thrown in white porcelain and sculpted into a compact, expressive form — wild grin, single eye, and horns dipped in luminous 23.5k British gold.
The glaze is extraordinary here: a layered mix of rust-red, ember-orange, and mineral flashes of blue that shift as the light moves. At the back, a circular opening reveals the chamber for a tea light candle; on top, a 22mm-deep bowl holds a few drops of essential oil. Once lit, the inner flame animates the entire face, turning it into a tiny guardian radiating scent and a warm, flickering glow.

WHY IT’S SPECIAL
No. 40 is a fiery Dogabi — the glaze alone feels alive, full of movement and heat. When paired with candlelight and scent, it becomes a ritual object, part sculpture and part household spirit.
THE BRAND
Dogabi is the ceramic world of Korean artist Hyung-Jun Kim, whose work reimagines traditional goblin spirits as expressive, hand-built porcelain sculptures. Each piece is entirely one-of-a-kind, crafted to bring protection, humor, and a flicker of magic into the everyday.
