“Ku” is a Japanese paper incense born from the fusion of incense craft and traditional washi papermaking. Unlike conventional incense, it emits fragrance even without being lit. Each delicate paper tree can be displayed as potpourri, torn into pieces to enclose in letters or drawers, or lit in the traditional way for a brief ritual.
This set includes five incense trees in different fragrances—lavender, ylang-ylang, tea tree, sage, and geranium—crafted on Awaji Island, Japan’s historic incense capital. Each tree carries 24 leaves, and each burning lasts about three minutes.
