We trekked to Yugeshima, an isle near Hiroshima, on a mission to find a series of artisanal ceramic vases. The resident ceramist fires his creations using a wood-burning kiln. It's perfect for brightening up a dinner table with a couple of blossoms or as a unique decorative item. This whimsical vase, shaped like a peanut, stands around 4" tall and is 3" wide at the widest point.
It comes in chalk white, turquoise, and burnt blue.
