Takamichi’s debut candle captures the signature scent he created for Nine Orchard, the boutique hotel inside the historic Jarmulowsky Bank building. Like the hotel itself, the fragrance evolves with its surroundings: it opens with bright bergamot and neroli, drifts into seawater and orange flower, and finally settles into cedar, musk, and amber. Hand-poured with plant-based wax and a cotton wick, it’s housed in minimalist, mid-century inspired packaging.

THE BRAND
Founded by New York hairstylist Takamichi Saeki, the Takamichi line was born out of twenty years of hands-on salon experience. Saeki wanted to cut through cluttered routines and offer well-crafted essentials that deliver results and simplify daily rituals. Each product features thoughtfully sourced ingredients—camellia oil from Ōshima Island, wildcrafted plant extracts captured through ultrasound extraction, plant-based waxes, and cotton wicks—and embodies a fresh, green signature scent reminiscent of the Nine Orchard Hotel. The range is cruelty-free, made in Italy, France, or the USA, and packaged in recyclable materials, reflecting a commitment to both luxury and sustainability.
