A one-of-a-kind coffee hand dripper from the Dogabi series by master ceramist Hyung Jun Kim of THR-Ceramics. Wheel-thrown and sculpted in South Korea, this piece blends functionality with artistry—shaped in white porcelain clay, glazed with extraordinary color nuances, and fired at 2292°F.
Beyond its practical use, the dripper is a sculptural object: textured, expressive, and infused with the whimsical spirit of the Dogabi—a legendary Korean goblin said to bring luck, mischief, or abundance. Both an heirloom-worthy brewing tool and a captivating table ornament.

STORY
In Korean folklore, the Dogabi (goblin) was believed to possess mysterious powers, appearing in different forms to bring either luck or punishment. Mischievous yet generous, Dogabis frightened humans with odd faces, played tricks with childlike innocence, and bestowed abundance with a smile.
By capturing these expressions in clay, Hyung Jun Kim reimagines Dogabi as humorous, vibrant ceramic works—functional objects that embody myth, joy, and artistry. Each Dogabi piece is a face of imagination, created through Kim’s mastery of glaze, texture, and form.
THE BRAND
THR-Ceramics is a South Korean studio founded in 2003 by two ceramic artists. They create both functional artworks for daily use and collectible sculptural pieces, with the aim of making pottery approachable and meaningful.
The Dogabi series is the work of Hyung Jun Kim, who earned his MFA in Ceramics at the National University of Technology in Seoul. Inspired by human emotion and expression, Kim uses the unpredictability of glaze and texture to bring each piece to life. His Dogabi works are internationally recognized for their originality, humor, and craftsmanship.
