Dogabi Incense Burner No. 318 channels the bold humor and spectral charm of Korea’s dokkaebi — the mythical goblins said to bring both luck and chaos. Hand-thrown in white porcelain and sculpted by Kim Hyung-Jun, this one-eyed spirit is a riot of color: crimson and indigo glazes swirl together beneath fiery orange brows, while 23.5 k gold accents blaze from its horns, teeth, and eye. Pierced openings let incense smoke drift through its mouth and nostrils, transforming each burn into a living performance — equal parts ritual and mischief.
WHY IT’S SPECIAL
Part sculpture, part vessel, and entirely alive with personality, each Dogabi incense burner is one-of-a-kind. Fired at 2,282 °F for the porcelain body and again at 1,472 °F for glaze and gold, the result is a lustrous finish that glows with supernatural depth. The pierced design allows you to use it with cone or stick incense — or simply to display as a striking object that seems to watch over its surroundings with an unblinking golden eye.

THE BRAND
Korean ceramist Kim Hyung-Jun founded THR Ceramic Studio to explore the meeting point between myth and craft. His Dogabi series reinterprets traditional dokkaebi—creatures of chaos and justice—through the lens of contemporary sculpture. Each piece is hand-formed, numbered, and imbued with character: no two are alike, yet all share the same gleeful, watchful spirit. Available exclusively at Takamichi Beauty Room, these works turn everyday rituals into encounters with legend.
