Handcrafted in Martha Duncan’s Edinburgh studio, these petite stoneware dishes are a charming blend of form and function. Each piece is hand-built and kiln-fired to a warm, earthy finish, then hand-painted with a playful fruit motif—cherries, lemons, berries, or a bright tomato—that makes every dish uniquely yours. Perfectly sized for rings, soap, or pinches of spice, they vary slightly in diameter (just like in the photos) and bring a joyful splash of color to any countertop. Her motifs spring from playful observations—daft thoughts, overheard conversations, song lyrics—always delivered with a mischievous wink. Each ceramic is wheel-thrown, kiln-fired, and finished by hand with food-safe colors, ensuring no two pieces are alike. Today, her work can be found online, at markets across the UK, and through an expanding network of stockists in Scotland and beyond.
