The green tea Sencha Housen from Kyoto house Ippodo Tea has a gentle sweetness, bright fragrance, and a mellow aftertaste, characteristic of Ippodo's premium sencha blends. This tea has a balanced character with more umami and sweetness than astringency. Try this sencha first, and brew it in the morning, at teatime, and other times that call for an aromatic, satisfying green tea.
Sencha is grown in direct sunshine and can be harvested by tea farmers twice a year.
Ippodo Tea is established in Kyoto since 1717.
