Cold process soap. Full-bodied, Herby, Citrus Forward. With Sweet Basil, Rosemary, Marjoram.
Erode is a luscious cold-process soap with a unique shape, uniting form, and function that adds a different kind of beauty to the daily bathing ritual. The soap is made with an abundance of unique botanicals, fragrant essential oils, and skin-nurturing antioxidants to cleanse, hydrate, and nourish all skin types. The artisanal nature of each batch means no two are alike, adding to their charm.
Named one of Architectural Digest's Top 10 Best Gifts, these small-batch soaps genuinely sell out often. We avoid the overused 'before it's sold out' message, but the demand for these unique pieces speaks for itself.
The small Bouton plate (sold separately) was designed hand in hand to serve as the Erode's designated dish.

THE BRAND
Founded by designer/architects Victor Lefebvre and Mei-Lan Tan, UMÉ is a multidisciplinary design practice that blurs the boundaries between art, craft, and experience. When making their products, they partner with designers and artisans in California, Paris, Kyoto, Ubud, and beyond to draw upon diverse skills, perspectives, and traditions. Victor and Mei-Lan formed UMÉ after years of working together in architectural practices, where they discovered a shared design ethos for materiality, craft, and technique leading to design rather than the prevailing norm of design informing craft and technique. That spirit of curiosity, love of fine details, and a willingness to throw out convention while honoring tradition informs everything they do today.
