Daidō Candle is backordered and will ship as soon as it is back in stock.
Takamichi Saeki’s second candle is a tribute to Tokyo after dark. The Daidō candle captures the surreal charm of quiet alleys, smoky food carts, and the inky intensity of sumi-e ink painting. Hand-poured in the USA from a plant-based wax blend with a cotton wick, it is housed in a square, midnight-blue glass vessel and finished with a minimalist letterpress label. The eight-ounce candle burns for around 40 hours.

Care
Founded by New York hairstylist Takamichi Saeki, the Takamichi line was born out of twenty years of hands-on experience in the salon. Saeki wanted to cut through cluttered routines and offer well-crafted essentials that deliver results while simplifying daily rituals. Each product features thoughtfully sourced ingredients—camellia oil from Ōshima Island, wildcrafted plant extracts, plant-based waxes, and cotton wicks—and embodies a fresh, green signature scent reminiscent of the Nine Orchard Hotel. Made in Italy, France, or the USA, the range is cruelty-free and packaged in recyclable materials, reflecting a commitment to both luxury and sustainability.
Daidō Candle
A great addition to the candle line, such a gorgeous scent. My husband is very particular about scent, as am I, and this one we both enjoy!
