Dogabi Decanter No. 19 transforms the act of pouring into performance — part vessel, part mythic character. Hand-thrown from white porcelain and sculpted by Kim Hyung-Jun, this deep indigo piece shimmers with copper undertones and gleaming 23.5 k gold horns and teeth. Whether used for wine, sake, or water, it adds a mischievous ritual to any table. With its expressive spout and sly grin, the decanter feels as if it might start a conversation — or finish one.
WHY IT’S SPECIAL
Each Dogabi vessel blurs the boundary between function and sculpture. Fired at 2,282 °F for strength and again at 1,472 °F for glaze and gold, the finish achieves a rich luster that shifts between cobalt blue and volcanic bronze. The hand-sculpted form gives personality to even the most practical ritual, offering a moment of humor, spirit, and Korean folklore in everyday use.

THE BRAND
Korean artist Kim Hyung-Jun, founder of THR Ceramic Studio, reinterprets the dokkaebi — folkloric goblins of mischief and justice — through a contemporary lens. Each Dogabi is hand-sculpted, numbered, and singular, merging ancient technique with modern wit. The resulting creations are guardians, companions, and objets d’art in equal measure. Available exclusively at Takamichi Beauty Room.
