Dogabi Oil Lamp No. 888 is a one-of-a-kind hand-thrown porcelain oil lamp in pale lilac glaze with 23.5k gold detailing.
Thrown on the wheel and sculpted by hand, this guardian carries a softer presence. The glaze is a delicate shade of lilac — almost cloud-like — broken by flashes of warm speckling beneath the surface. Gold horns, gold teeth, and a gold third eye punctuate the calm with sharp precision.
When lit, the flame rises from the crown and the piece shifts from sculpture to ritual object. Gentle in color. Not gentle in character.

THE ARTIST
Dogabi reinterprets the Korean goblin — not as villain, but as complex guardian spirit. Each oil lamp is both sculptural object and functional vessel, bridging folklore and contemporary ceramic practice.
No. 888 appears gentle. It isn’t passive.
