THE BRAND
BALLON is a Japanese brand based in Tokyo. They describe themselves as: "A private sanctuary thaIt describes itself as " ame, space, and the city. There are moments, amid the city's bustle and hectic lives, when we take some quiet time for ourselves. Sometimes, it's private time and space where even family member,s or loved ones can't intrude."
It can feel like an apartment in Paris, an ancient temple in Rome, or a room in an old studio in New York.
What we create is something that seems to exist both somewhere and nowhere.
It feels like we're on a journey, but it's also as if we haven't moved.
It resembles an antique piece from the distant past, yet we've never seen it before.
What is the true meaning of wealth?
What does it mean to have time to ourselves?
We are inclined to ask ourselves these questions even when we are absorbed in huge tomes of literature amidst towering piles of books in a library.
Michael Ende, a German writer, once said:
"Time is life itself."
We hope you see a small twinkling star in the urban night sky or spot a small flower petal as it drifts along a flowing river.
We hope that, however slightly, those moments are beautiful and enriching.
