Dogabi Shot Cup No. 125 embodies the whimsical ferocity of Korea’s mythical goblin — a spirit equally fond of laughter and protection. Sculpted by Hyung Jun Kim from white porcelain and crowned with 23.5 k gold horns and teeth, this one-eyed figure seems caught mid-grin, somewhere between charm and mischief.
Each cup is wheel-thrown and hand-carved, its pale glaze subtly mottled with warm undertones from the kiln’s oxidation fire. Though sized for a sip of sake or espresso, it carries the weight of an amulet — a small, shining guardian forged in flame.
