Dedicated to the goddess in whose honor Tiberius built the most magnificent of the imperial villas on Capri, “IO” is a dynamic and decisive mélange, sophisticated and modern, bringing together the mature, sweet notes of wild fig with the exhilarating, stimulating notes of tea leaves.
The fragrance opens with a citrus tone of Sicilian lemon and wild mint, star anise, and orange brazil. The heart is animated by a green and flowery tone marked by the fig, the lemongrass Ceylan and apple flowers hovering from leather and marine base.
We like the overall feel of this scent; clean and uplifting. The minty and bracing herbal bitterness play hide and seek with a fresh and fruity fig. That makes this scent very interesting.
Io Capri was launched in 2000. The nose behind this fragrance is Laura Bosetti Tonatto. Io Capri by Carthusia is an aromatic fragrance for all gender.

In 1948 the Prior of the Carthusian Monastery on the breathtaking Italian island of Capri discovered a volume of historic perfume formulas dating back to a time when the monks living there began to discover the exquisite aromatics of the herbs and blossoms on the island. With the Pope's consent, the formulas were revived by a local chemist and developed into a unique range of fragrances called Carthusia.
